How to convert VCF to CSV

VCF (vCard) is the standard format for digital contact cards. When you export contacts from a phone, email client, or CRM, you often receive a .vcf file containing one or many contacts. While VCF is portable between devices, it is not easy to analyze, filter, or import into spreadsheet applications. Converting VCF to CSV turns each contact into a row with clearly labeled columns for name, phone, email, address, and other fields.

BoltConverter converts VCF files to CSV on its servers. Multiple contacts in a single VCF file are each mapped to their own CSV row. The output is ready to open in Excel, Google Sheets, or import into a CRM or database.

Upload your VCF file

Click the upload area or drag your .vcf file onto the page. Files with multiple contacts are supported.

Conversion runs on the server

BoltConverter parses each vCard record and maps the fields to CSV columns.

Frequently asked questions

Can one VCF file contain multiple contacts?

Yes. VCF files can contain a single contact or thousands. Each contact in the VCF becomes one row in the CSV.

What fields are included in the CSV?

Common fields like first name, last name, phone numbers, email addresses, company, title, and postal address are extracted as columns. The exact columns depend on what fields are present in the VCF file.

What if a contact has multiple phone numbers?

Multiple phone numbers are typically placed in separate columns (e.g., mobile, home, work) if they are labeled in the VCF. Unlabeled numbers may be concatenated.

Is my contact data kept private?

Your file is uploaded over HTTPS and deleted from the server immediately after conversion. BoltConverter does not store your contact data.

Can I import the CSV back into a phone or email client?

You can import CSV into Google Contacts, Outlook, and many CRM systems. Phones typically require VCF for direct import, not CSV.
