Frequently asked questions
Will animations be preserved in the PDF?
No. PDF is a static format. Slide animations and transitions are not included. Each slide is captured in its final state.
Are slide notes included in the PDF?
The standard conversion produces a slides-only PDF. Speaker notes are not included. To include notes, export from PowerPoint with the notes layout before uploading.
Will custom fonts look correct?
Common fonts are included on the conversion server. Presentations using custom or uncommon fonts may show font substitutions. Embedding fonts in the PPTX before uploading improves results.
Is my presentation kept private?
Your PPTX is uploaded over HTTPS and deleted from the server immediately after the PDF is generated. BoltConverter does not retain your presentation content.
Can I also convert PPT (older format) files?
Yes. The converter accepts both .pptx (PowerPoint 2007 and newer) and .ppt (older binary format) files.
