Frequently asked questions
Which input video formats are supported?
AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV, 3GP, TS, MTS, MXF, and other common video formats are supported. The converter handles most formats that FFmpeg can process.
Is there a file size limit per video?
Each video must be under 100 MB. For longer or higher-resolution videos above this limit, a desktop tool like HandBrake is recommended.
Will there be quality loss?
Re-encoding always involves a small generational quality loss. For most use cases the difference is not visible. The output H.264 MP4 is at high quality settings.
Are my files kept private?
Files are uploaded over HTTPS and deleted from the server immediately after conversion. BoltConverter does not retain your videos.
Can I upload multiple videos at once?
Yes. Multiple files are accepted. They are processed sequentially and you can download each as it finishes.
