How to convert PSD to JPG

Photoshop PSD files store a document with multiple layers, masks, adjustment layers, and smart objects, which makes them large and non-portable. Converting a PSD to JPG flattens all the layers into a single image and applies JPEG compression, producing a shareable, universally viewable file. It is the standard step for exporting a finished design from Photoshop for web, email, or print delivery.

The conversion runs in your browser via WebAssembly, so your PSD never travels to a server. Choose the quality level that matches your intended use: high quality for print proofs, moderate for web.

Upload your PSD file

Drop your .psd file into the converter. The WebAssembly engine reads the Photoshop format locally and composites the visible layers.

Set JPG quality

Choose a quality level. 90 for detailed designs or print; 75 to 85 for web and email.

Convert

The engine flattens all layers and encodes the composited image as JPG. Complex PSD files with many layers may take a few seconds.

Frequently asked questions

Does this preserve all layers?

No. The conversion flattens the PSD into a single composited image. Layer editability is lost. Keep the original PSD if you need to make further edits.

What about adjustment layers and effects?

The converter renders the final visual appearance, including the effect of adjustment layers and layer styles, into the flat JPG. The adjustments themselves are not editable in the output.

Is my PSD uploaded to a server?

No. Processing is local via WebAssembly in your browser.

Will fonts in the PSD render correctly?

Text layers render from the rasterized data stored in the PSD. Missing font warnings in Photoshop mean the font substitute is applied, which is what the converter also uses.

Should I convert to PNG instead of JPG?

Convert to PNG if your design has transparency (alpha channel) or hard edges where JPG artifacts would be noticeable. Use JPG for photographic content and when file size matters.
